Giving Thanks

Voice and Vision Prayer Team’s Thanksgiving Prayer

Psalms 9:1-2

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.  I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

We are thankful for Your love.

Through Your love we are bound by Your Holy Spirit and come together each week to pray to You.

Through Your love You give us instruction how to pray to You always with our requests.  Others have seen Your light in us and ask us for prayer.

Through Your love You have answered many of our prayers and shown us miracles.  We have seen favor with budgets, monies provided when needed, guidance with meetings & report deadlines, guidance with staff old & new, new offices, new strategies, new webinars, new Help & Hope book, new equipment, new furniture, even during a pandemic we have reached people and have heard their voices.  We have seen co-workers & family members healed, healthy babies being born, family relationships strengthened and restored, and new jobs provided.

Through Your love you make each of us strong and give us Your comfort & peace to keep going each day.

Through Your love you give us the desire to help others and You have given each of us our unique ways of doing so.

Through Your love we have seen the power of Your Holy Spirit in our darkest hours of grief.

Through Your love you have given us promises to keep us going in this world. We know You are always with us and will not forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Through Your love we repent of our sins and You forgive us.

Through Your love You have given us life the greatest gift of all gifts.

We thank you for Your love.

I Corinthians 13:13 And now these three things remain: faith, hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.

About Kathryn

Kathryn Lerro

Hi, I’m Kathryn Lerro, mother of two lovely daughters, wife of one fine man.

After 24 years of wandering (thanks to my husband’s Air Force career), we are back home on the East Coast. We currently live in Philadelphia where I enjoy writing, taking long walks, decorating my front window in South Philly tradition, talking to interesting people and eating great food.

As I’ve met people on my travels I’ve become keenly aware that most of us could use a healthy dose of encouragement. It is for this reason that I try to weave a message of hope into everything I write.

About Mindy

Mindy Haas

Hi, I am Melinda Haas, but you can call me Mindy.   A true introvert, I delight in solitude with a good book or a movie.  I like dabbling in nature photography while taking rigorous hikes.  I adore my husband who is a ton of fun.  He shares my wanderlust as well as my appetite for Indian and Thai food.  Very often, you’ll find us dancing to Cumbia in the kitchen while we make dinner.   We also love road tripping and exploring new places. (New England is our new favorite!)

Through my writing, I want to encourage and embolden others to push past the limits they place on themselves.  I want to help people see that they can accomplish more than they think they were capable of.
