Dear Reader,
It’s #GivingTuesday! That means today is the day that you can help raise funds to send additional students to college through our College Plus program!
With your help and generosity, we have the ability to support two additional students in the Spring 2018 semester! Our goal this year is to raise $4,500 to support additional students through our College Plus program.
Here’s what YOUR funds will provide:
College Plus has been a stepping stone into the college experience for 159 individuals with mental illness. For many of our students, fear of failure, social anxiety, and lack of finances held them back. For some, it had never occurred to them that college was a possibility. Through our program they receive information on additional funding sources to make college possible. Through our peer support, they receive the encouragement and confidence to pursue their dreams. In turn, we are invigorated by our students who provide positive feedback each semester.
“College Plus took a chance on me when nobody else would. They gave me an opportunity I’ll always remember. It gave me hope, confidence and it gave me dreams and goals I want to achieve in life. I’ll never give up!”
“[College Plus] increased my confidence and happiness. Having their support and talking with them helped me not stress out.”
“[College Plus gave me] self-confidence, the feeling I could do something significant and complete it.”
Please consider donating to change a student’s life this #GivingTuesday!
